Sexually Transmitted Infections (GUM)

We provide free and confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI) (previously known as Genito -Urinary Medicine or GUM)

To get tested for STIs, you can visit any of our clinics no matter where you live, but people tend to find it easiest to visit a clinic near to home, work or school/college/university. Enter your postcode in our clinic finder to find your nearest clinic.

We routinely offer:

Blood testing for HIV and Syphilis.
Blood Testing for Hepatitis B and C (if deemed necessary)
Swab and urine testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea
Genital examination for warts, herpes, syphilis and other skin conditions

We may offer microscopic diagnosis for urethritis, cervicitis, Candidiasis (thrush) Trichomoniasis (TV), Bacterial vaginosis (BV) and Syphilis.

We also offer:

Cervical cytology (smear test)
Hepatitis B vaccination (if deemed necessary)

We can diagnose most conditions at the clinic, but sometimes you may receive results at a later date when we will inform you if you or your partner(s) need to arrange treatment.
