DFSRH Course of 5
The Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (DFSRH) “COURSE OF 5” is aimed at doctors and nurses who are already working in general practice, community and integrated sexual health services.
It is a one day course which must be taken as part of your Diploma and it consists of 9 assessments spread over five small group-assessed workshops:
Class I: Taking a Sexual History and HIV pre test discussion and testing
Class II: STI Screening and Testing and Teaching the use of Condoms
Class III: Practical Aspects of Contraception
Class IV: Young People: Consent, Confidentiality, Fraser Guidelines and Safeguarding Children
Class V: Managing Sensitive Scenarios
Pre-Course Entry Requirements
Please note the following pre course-entry requirements, evidence of which is needed 2 weeks prior to you attending the course of 5:
- You must have registered with the Faculty for an e-portfolio.
- You must have completed the eKA (online assessment of knowledge
- You must have all your entry requirement forms on your e-portfolio signed by your assessor [GP trainer or consultant] (or self certificated if you are an experienced practitioner e.g. qualified GP or consultant).
If you cannot provide evidence, you will not be able to participate on the course of 5. This may incur the loss of the fee paid for the course.

14th January 2019 at Dame Mary Fagan House, Basingstoke.
20th May 2019 at St Mary's Community Campus, Portsmouth.
