Common STIs and Symptoms
The most commonly diagnosed STIs are Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Warts, Herpes, Syphilis and HIV.
Commonly reported symptoms are:
- burning when passing urine
- discomfort, soreness or pus from the penis
- pain and/or swelling in the testicles
- sores, ulcers, rash, blisters or lumps in the genital area, or around the anus
- change in vaginal discharge
- lower abdominal pain
- pain during sex
- bleeding after sex or in between periods
- itching or soreness
