What are my options?

Contraception is used to prevent unplanned pregnancy and there are different types available to suit your lifestyle.

  • Long lasting methods such as implants and coils (3 to 10 years) which can be removed at any time.
  • Injection (last 13 weeks). You will need to visit a GP or clinician every 13 weeks for a repeat injection.
  • Short lasting methods such as the Combined or Progestogen only pill which need to be taken every day.
  • Barrier methods such as condoms and diaphragms.

You can get most contraception methods from your GP, or if you prefer you can attend one of our clinics.
