Condoms work really well at stopping most Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) from being passed from an infected partner to another. Although they are not 100% guaranteed, when used properly condoms are extremely effective. Use a condom every time you have vaginal, anal or oral sex.
- A Get It On (GIO) Condom Card is a free card given to you by a trained worker that allows you to get free condoms at participating venues. You just need to show your card and you'll be given free condoms.
- Condom Cards provide free condoms to anyone under 25 years old.

- You can register for a free account online and request free condoms, these will then be posted to your home address in discreet packaging.

- If you have had sex without using contraception, or you think your contraception failed, you can use Emergency Contraception.
- You should use it within 5 days, but as soon as possible for it to be most effective.
- Most pharmacies can provide free Emergency Contraception, to find your local one click here or call 0300 300 2016 and tell the clinician you need Emergency Contraception. If it's over 5 days call 0300 300 2016 to discuss your options.
- Many pharmacies can also provide free contraceptive pills. Phone the pharmacy first to check they can provide it for free during your visit or you may be charged if the trained pharmacist isn't available.
